We're about ready to go home!

Well we've had quite a week! On Thursday our Grandpa Dave came over to Aunt Linda's house and we all went out to eat at our favorite Neopet restaurant. Then Grandpa came back and visited us and impressed us all with his ability to recite tongue twisters. Tricia played her violin for her grandpa and grandpa played the piano for all of us. Aunt Linda and Tricia finished the doll quilt and Lindsay is helping Tricia put the batting and backing in place. On Friday morning Aunt Linda left for Hume Lake with Scott, Laura and Abby. Laura's Dad had to cancel out on going and Aunt Linda is taking his place. We didn't say good bye as we didn't want to make Aunt Linda cry. We said that we would be pen pals.(We also invited her to live in our basement.). We finished reading the BFG together and loved the ending! Well on Sunday afternoon we'll be flying home to Daddy, tonight Mommy will be at Aunt Linda's house(hoorah), and as Parker wrote in his journal, "I am happy in California" but in our hearts we are also ready to come home. There's no place like home! See you soon! Love Tricia and Parker

Hey! Where has the time gone?

Hello Long time no write. We have been so busy. On the 14th we went to the La Habra Children's Museum with our little cousin Abby. We had a lot of fun and loved the kaleidoscope mirrors and digging for dinosaur bones. We also went out to eat with her Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Linda. On Friday we met Mommy in the afternoon at Knott's Berry Farm.We went on lots of rides and Parker was even picked to be on stage during a Charlie Brown performance. We were out very late. Mommy is a night owl and made sure that we went on nearly every ride. On Saturday we went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We loved it and laughed a lot. On a scale of 5 candy bars we give it a 10! On Sunday Mommy had to go back to camp again so we went and had lunch with cousin Abby and her family before taking Mommy to the bus station. We had a lot of fun with Scott. He is very silly and strong. Parker was actually locked outside one minute with the BEAST and survived. For more details ask us when we get home. On Monday Aunt Heather came and picked us up and took us to Disneyland for the day. It is their 50th Anniversary. We got to buy golden mouse ears. We chose to leave Disneyland early so that we could go have dinner with Uncle Kevin. He's really cool and more fun than Disneyland. Aunt Linda also bought a PT cruiser that is golden...maybe it's in honor of Disneyland's Anniversary. She says it's for her golden years and that the PT stands for Parker and Tricia in honor of having us with her this summer! Yesterday we relaxed and hung out at the wading pool with our friend Rog. We also went over and swam in a little pool in his yard afterwards. We will miss Roger. Today we went back to Scott and Laura's and swam in a big pool for about 3 hours. It was fun. Our friends Roderick and Vincent and their cousins came. Also Abby's other cousins Kaden and Natalie came. Laura fixed a great lunch and we didn't want to leave. Tomorrow we might get to see Grandpa Dave. Parker wrote in his journal, "I am happy in California." It has been fun but we are eager to see our house and bedrooms. We love you! Wow! We've been busy!

Hello Everybody Since we wrote last we've been really busy having a great time with our Daddy and Mommy, too! We've still been going to Science Camp and have made volcanoes and gliders and have had a great time. Daddy and Mommy came back from San Diego on Saturday afternoon and took us out to eat and to see the March of the Penguins. We would highly recommend this movie to all of you. On Sunday we got to go to Grandpa Dave's church and to lunch with him. He gave us all some special gifts. Then we drove all the way to San Diego and back so that we could spend more time with Mommy and Daddy. On Monday morning Daddy drove us to the Cerritos Library. It's the neatest library we've ever visited. It has a 15,000 gallon aquarium, a lighthouse, a rain forest, real dinosaur bones and tons of other fun things to see and do. It was more like a museum. Then Daddy took us out to eat at Carl's Jr. and to Thrifty(now called RiteAid) for an ice cream cone that he used to eat when he was a kid. We said good bye to Daddy after lunch and can't believe that next week we will be home. Today Aunt Linda took us to the Eldorado Park Nature Center. We walked a mile and saw a squirrel. lots of lizards, butterflies, fish and turtles. We also got to touch lots of cool things in nature. Tricia has been sewing up a storm and has two rows completed on her doll blanket. She wants to ask Santa for a sewing machine for Christmas. On Friday we will see Mommy again and go to Knott's Berry FArm with her. We can hardly wait! We love you all. Love, Tricia and Parker

Our Daddy Arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well this morning Aunt Linda told us that we were getting a big surprise! We couldn't imagine what it could be but we kept playing with our Gameboys. Suddenly(about 25 minutes later) our big package appeared at the door...it was Daddy! We can't believe that he is here. We can't stop hugging him and talking to him. Nobody hugs like Daddy! Yesterday we went to Science Camp again and we made rockets. Parker's rocket went higher than anyone's. It was exciting. We are going to Science Camp Tues. - Fri. for two weeks. We are making lots of friends, too! Well that's all for now! Oh, today is our Papa's birthday and we called to wish him a Happy Birthday. We love you all! Love, Tricia and Parker

Trying to get back into the blogging groove!

Hello Everybody Well, we've had a lot of exciting things happen in the last 7 days. Our Aunt Heather took us to San Diego and we got to see our Mommy, go to the zoo, go sailing, go to Sea World and we just had so much fun everywhere! Aunt Heather even has a talking car. We came back to Aunt Linda's house on Friday night to get ready for Parker's 6th birthday. The party was a big success and we've been partying ever since! On Sunday Mommy got to go to church with us and lunch before she took off by bus to head back to San Diego. On Sunday evening we played games with some of Aunt Linda's friends and had pizza. On July 4th Tricia learned how to do finger weaving from Ryan's girlfriend, Lindsey, and has made 5 little scarves already. At night there were so many fireworks in Lakewood that we couldn't believe it. We went across the street and watched the Ramos family do fireworks and we got to hold some sparklers. Today we just played at home and relaxed before heading off to Science Camp at Bolivar Park. It was fun. Today we got to make slime. We are going to go to Science Camp every day for 2 hours. Well, we are tired and must go to bed. We love you all. Good Night! Tricia and Parker

Day 9 and 10

Hello We've been eagerly awaiting Wednesday because we get to see our Mommy again. Yesterday we went to Liberty Park to play while Aunt Linda took a mile hike. In the afternoon Lindsay took us over to the wading pool for a few hours. It was great fun. Last night Parker fell asleep by 7:45. Aunt Linda started teaching me(Tricia ) how to sew by hand. I did a straight stitch and sewed a seam and I sewed on 2 buttons. It was exciting. I've already practiced on the machine. We're going to try sewing a doll blanket next week. Today our friends Roderick and Vincent came over to play with us. We are getting ready to go with Aunt Heather tonight to San Diego. When we wake up in the morning we will see Mommy at the zoo. Hoorah! More later! Love Tricia and Parker

Day 8 A relaxing Sunday

Hello Everybody We went to Sunday School and church this morning. We had a lot of fun. Then we went out to eat at Dalton's restaurant where Ryan's girlfriend Lindsey is a waitress. Parker calls Lindsey the love of his life and brought here flowers today! Our Sunday School teachers were eating there and came over to say hi to us. Then after lunch Lindsey brought us a huge hot fudge sundae to eat. It was delicious!!!! This afternoon we played with Roger, Bekah, and Hailey... some of the neighborhood children. We are really missing Mommy and Daddy but have been very brave and haven't cried yet. Aunt Linda laid in bed with us and told us silly stories of when she was six and went places with her Grandma. I told Aunt Linda that even though she is old she is a lot of fun! Today she started teaching Tricia how to sew on her sewing machine. They are going to make a doll blanket. Good night! Love, Tricia and Parker
